Unknown Miscreants Forcibly Snatch Away Vehicle At Gun Point

Ukhrul, May 31, 2023: In an unfortunate incident, three unknown miscreants forcibly snatched away vehicle at gun point at ISBT Khuman Lampak, Imphal on 29 May 2023 at around 1:30pm.

Interacting with media persons, Soreichan Paguinao (28 years) s/o Matuichung Panguinao of Mapum Village, Ukhrul District, Manipur narrated that “on 29 May 2023 at around 1:30pm I came along with two friends from Ukhrul in a Hyundai i20 car, white in colour bearing registration number MNO1AK 3444 registered in the name of Dr. R. Melody. While we reached at ISBT Khuman Lampak, Imphal, 3 unknown persons stopped us at gun point. We were pulled down from the car, one of them snatched the key of the car and fled away towards Lamlong Bridge. We were frightened by the alarming situations with arms in their hands.

Soreichan Panguinao registered a complaint to Imphal Police Station on 30 May 2023. Accordingly, an FIR No. 531(05)2023 IPS u/s 397/34 IPC & 25(1-B) A Act has been registered Imphal Police Station and has appointed SI Rocky Laishram to investigate the case.

The victim informed that the car was bought from Dr. R. Melody by Gracestone Shinglai on 22 April 2023 and he was driving the car to drop his two friends to Imphal Airport who are going to Bangalore. He has requested the concerned authority to take up necessary legal action against the unknown culprits.
