Haokok Thang-Ta Academy gets three medals at National Championship

EKHON | UKHRUL: Three Thangta martial artist from Haokok Thang-Ta Academy, Ukhrul won medals at the recently concluded 29th ‘National Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Championship’ held at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Mega Sports Complex, Khel Gaon, Hotwar, Ranchi, Jharkhand.

CM Chihanyo, founder of Haokok Thang-Ta Academy informed Ekhon that three athletes who trained under him namely; CS Ngachanhor, son of CS Mayonmi from Hungpung village won Gold, while Rinmichon Kasomwoshi, daughter of Olive Kasomwoshi from Sirarakhong village took home Silver and Yungrei Ahungshi Shimray, daughter of AS Hungva from Hungpung village won Bronze medal. They participated at the sub-junior category.

Meanwhile, Manipur were crowned team champions of the 29th National Sub-Junior & Senior Thang-Ta Championship 2023 with the state team amassing 56 medals overall.
