EKHON |UKHRUL: Featherheads in collaboration with Longrah, an Event Management is set to release ‘Oh Hei’, their first animated music video on 23rd Nov. at TBG 125 Hall, TBCA Mission Compound, Alungtang, Ukhrul.
Augustine Luiyainao Shimray of the Featherheads told Ekhon that the event will feature a special performance by Hunphun Khanuithot Cultural Research Forum (HKCRF) who will present the original rendition of the traditional folk song ‘Oh Hei’. This ancient melody originated from Hunphun was sung during the head hunting days before the arrival of Christianity, he added.
‘Oh Hei’ tells the story of a pregnant woman who tragically loses her life and makes her way to the afterlife, referred to as Kazeiram or Yangram in Tangkhul mythology.
Featherheads will take the stage, performing fan-favorite tracks, followed by an intimate unplugged session with Thei Thei Luithui. The event will begin at 5 PM.
