EKHON | UKHRUL: Paving the way to printing business and book publishing, Chihui Group on Thursday launched first digital printing press and book publishing house in Ukhrul at Tangkhul Theological Association (TTA) compound at Hungpung, Ukhrul District.
The two pioneering business units: Book Basket, a book publications unit, and Colour Basket, a commercial printing unit were launched by Sword Vashum, President of Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), and Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner Zuringla Kengoo in the august presence of dignitories from all walks of life.
Sharing his vision, Ngaranmi Chihui, better known as Aran Chihui, highlighted his life’s core priorities: God, family, friends, and his community, that is the Tangkhuls and Nagas in general. Expressing his commitment to serve the Ukhrul community and beyond he said, “We want to bring back quality and serve the community in Ukhrul District and beyond in book publications and printing. We have set up one of the high-end commercial machines that will cater to local needs while providing international quality standards. With the best quality, we will provide competitive pricing.”
He emphasized the group’s dedication to positively impacting the community, noting their 11-year presence in the market. With these venture, the 45 year old entrepreneur promised to change the landscape of printing in Ukhrul.
With a huge investment, reportedly of Rs 5 million, the establishment of Book Basket and Colour Basket is poised to revolutionize the local publishing and printing industry, providing high-quality services to businesses and customers across Northeast India.

Meanwhile, Dr. Lanusangla Tzudir, Proprietor and Chief Editor, Heritage Publishing House based in Nagaland also sent her inaugural greetings.
The launch event was attended by Ukhrul/Hunphun Headman and his councils, Hungpung Headman and his councils, Khangkhui Headmen, Tangkhul Christian leaders, and representatives from various Tangkhul civil society organizations (CSOs) including Tangkhul Naga Long, Tangkhul Shanao Long, Tangkhul Katamnao Long, Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long, and THYSO.
