EKHON|UKHRUL: In view of the ensuing 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024 in respect of Ukhrul District, Excise Department led by Inspector Kh. Kodun Maring seized about 25 litres of DIC liquor while performing checking and frisking at Finch Corner today. The department will actively perform the process until election is over.
Meanwhile, Polling Officer-I training was held at Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, Wino Baazar. 166 men and 122 women out of the total 283 were called up for the training. The training included audio-visual demonstration on the duties of the polling personnel and hands-on training on use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
The next training is scheduled on 2nd & 3rd of April 2024 for the polling officers II & III.
