Manipur Naga MLAs condemn says ‘Unspeakable crime against our women’

Ukhrul: The 10 Manipur Naga MLAs Forum in a joint statement has vehemently condemned the shocking incident of two innocent Kuki-Zo women who were stripped naked, paraded publicly and molested by the mob.

Saying that such heinous and beastly crime against our people is unacceptable and due rigorous punishments must be given to all those involved.

“The unfortunate incident at B Phainom village truly manifested unspeakable crime against our women which continues to amplify the present crisis and plague Manipur,” it added.

Therefore, the statement said, “the Naga MLAs immediately called for apprehending measures be provided for those affected victims and family members.”

The Naga MLAs forum also extended its solidarity to those victims and family members who were traumatized and pained while extending condolences to those bereaved family members of those killed in the sad incident.
