Veikhang Katamnao Long organizes Career guidance and awareness program

EKHON|UKHRUL: With an aim to motivate the students of class 9th to 12th, Veikhang Katamnao Long (VKL) organized a one-day career guidance and awareness program on Saturday at CM Nganingkhui Hall, Dungrei, Hungpung. Wilson Kasar, Chaplain of Veikhang Baptist Fellowship Ukhrul Unit opened the event with prayers for success and for the welfare of the youth from the region. Lummi Awungshi, Education Secretary of the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) also made his presence at the event.

The Career guidance and awareness program was conducted by the Ura trust. Around 67 students from different schools participated at the program.

Vareishang Phungshok of Ura Trust and one of the four resource persons said they are certified career counselors, and the style of their approach is towards the way of life. The program will enhance the mindset of the youngsters in building their life towards achieving success and living a satisfactory life.

Shimreingam Kasar, President of VKL said the objective of the career guidance is to prepare students for future. We trust that the program curated by Ura Trust will fill the gap of knowledge, give clarity to the students and preparedness for better future, he added.

VKL has been continuously working towards the welfare of their student through different activities. Recently, VKL had distributed water to students appearing the board examination owing to the scarcity of water in the headquarter town.
