New Delhi: When the news of two tribal women in Manipur, who were stripped, molested and gangraped broke in every national media and all over social media, it evoke a strong sense of emotion to one woman who is a fellow mother, daughter and sister.
Mother of three, Ningreichon T who is currently based in New Delhi composed a heart wrenching poem against the inhuman incident that saw two Vaiphei women of the Kuki-Zo ethnicity abducted and stripped naked and later gangraped by Meitei mob on 4th May, 2023 in the aftermath of violence that hit Manipur on 3rd May.
Titled The Parade, it is an expression of outrage, angst of every women and every rational men.
As a mark of resentment against the inhuman act, Thotmung Muivah, an artist composed the poem into a song and performed an acoustic.
