Introducing the Concept of Sub Syllables in Hindi Language

Date:

UKHRUL|25 Nov 2024: Introducing the Concept of Sub Syllables in Hindi Language is the outcome of a relentless effort to simplify learning and teaching of Hindi language in a novel way by the National Teacher Awardee Ningmareo Shimray.

Introduction
After series of experimentations for more than 20 years, I developed a New Strategy of Teaching and Learning of Mathematics (which is indirectly applicable to any other subject) in 2018. There is a paradigm shift in the teaching strategy: from teaching the students how mathematical problems are solved to teaching the student show mathematical problems can be solved by themselves. Implementation of the new strategy in the school manifested phenomenal improvement in learning of mathematics which inspired me to bring out my work in a book form. From early 2019, series of experimentations were conducted to identify the hurdles of the students in learning of mathematics. To my utter surprise; I found that the main hurdle of teaching and learning of any subject/language for any standard is the lack of reading skills and that the only way to overcome this hurdle to learn pronouncing skills. Towards the end of 2020, as an outcome of my relentless effort to overcome this hurdle, I developed the Concept of Sub-Syllables in English language which is a new system for learning English pronunciation efficiently. Development of the Concept of Sub-Syllables in English language was nothing short of major breakthrough and found to be applicable to all the languages reflected in a current Standard English Dictionary (including Hindi). Learning and teaching of Hindi have always been a serious problem especially to those students and teachers belonging to non-Hindi speaking communities of our country. Introducing the Concept of Sub-Syllables in Hindi language is an effort to simplify learning and teaching of Hindi language in a novel way.
