EKHON | Ukhrul-Dec 23, 2024: A candle-making and branding workshop, sponsored by the Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) and Haoram FPCL was successfully conducted in Ukhrul town, drawing enthusiastic participation from 33 individuals. The workshops aimed at equipping participants with hands-on skills in candle production and brand-building to empower them as entrepreneurs.
Held in two sessions, the candle-making workshop by Rinchon Kashung Vashum of October Pumpkin provided in-depth training on crafting various types of candles, focusing on quality, design, and eco-friendliness. Participants were taught techniques such as molding, scent infusion, all while emphasising the use of organic materials.
The branding session highlighted three speakers namely Lungshai Leisan, Thorigso Luikham and Wungramvao Vashai of Pikhacha Design. This session focused on the essentials of building a unique identity for their products. They shared insights on designing logos, packaging, and creating compelling marketing strategies.
Speaking at the event, Wungreithan RA,a representative from Haoram FPCL, known for its community-centered initiatives, expressed its support for similar skill-building programs in the future. He also highlighted MOMA’s organisation’s commitment to fostering local entrepreneurship by promoting organic and sustainable practices.
The initiative received positive feedback, with participants calling for more such programs to enhance local skills and economic opportunities.
