Enfogal launches Reel Competition to promote Conservation of Mrs. Hume’s Pheasant

Ukhrul, 1 January, 2025: Ukhrul based environmental champion, Enfogal has announced the launch of a reel competition aimed at promoting the conservation of Mrs. Hume’s Pheasant, an endangered bird species native to the region.

The competition, which is open to individuals and groups invites participants to create a 150-180 second reel showcasing creative ideas, stories, or initiatives that promote the conservation of Mrs. Hume’s Pheasant through community engagement.

According to Enfogal, the objective of the competition is to raise awareness about the importance of conserving the endangered species and to promote community involvement in protecting its habitat and preserving biodiversity.

The competition will be judged on creativity, information, relevance, presentation, and engagement. A panel of experts will select the winners, who will be announced on February 21, 2025. The Winner will receive ₹10,000 and 5 Consolation Prizes of ₹2,000 each will also be awarded.

The competition is part of Enfogal’s efforts to promote conservation and sustainability in the region. “We believe that community engagement is key to promoting conservation and protecting endangered species,” said Patrick Shangh, Director of Enfogal. “Through this competition, we hope to inspire creativity and innovation in promoting the conservation of Mrs. Hume’s Pheasant.”
