India Observes Three-Day State Mourning in Honor of Pope Francis

EKHON | April 22, 2025: As a mark of respect for His Holiness Pope Francis (88), who passed away on Monday, Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the observation of three-day mourning throughout the country. The observation begins from Tuesday, the 22nd April, 2025 and Wednesday, the 23rd April, 2025. One day’s State Mourning on the day of the funeral. 

During the period, the National Flag will be flown at Half Mast throughout India on all buildings where the National Flag is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment.
