EKHON | UKHRUL: St. Joseph College organized a two-day orientation programme for the newly inducted students, providing a warm welcome and comprehensive interaction to college life. The objective of this programme is to introduce students to the academic culture of the college as well as to its various departments and facilities.
Fr. Dr. John Parvis, Principal inaugurated the programme and welcomed the new students in the college Auditorium, by extending heartfelt greetings to the incoming students emphasizing the transformative journey that lay ahead. Dr Ningreishim N Kashung Assistant Professor and Head of the Dept. of History gave an insightful perspective on ‘Academic Enrichment’, and Fr. Joseph Thohrii, Vice Principal emphasized on ‘Rule of Conduct and Discipline.’
The speakers of college clubs and activities are Masopam Kasar, Assistant Professor and NSS Coordinator, Chonchui Magdalene CS, Assistant Professor and NCC Care Taker Office (CTO), and Ishmail, Librarian. Other speakers of the orientation are Dr. Tamreihao K, Ringam Rungsung, Mercy Gangmei, Ngamreiphi Shangrei, Pamyaphi Sareo, Ngalaton Raikhan, and the Heads of the departments in the college.
The orientation event left an indelible mark on both the freshers and the college community. It encapsulated the institution’s core values, inspiring student to embrace excellence, diversity, and transformative experiences as they embarked on their new academic.
