Tangkhul Community Unites to Welcome Home Ato Kilonser Th. Muivah

Ukhrul, Manipur – For Ato Kilonser Thuingaleng Muivah, GPRN, 50 years of absence will come to an end on October 22nd, as he returns to the land that shaped his identity, fueled his determination, and nurtured his spirit.

During this historic event, the Tangkhul community stands united in welcoming the revered Naga leader, whose legendary stories have been passed down through generations, inspiring awe and reverence among the people.

As the community eagerly awaits Th. Muivah’s homecoming, media representatives reached out to Tangkhul civil organizations to gauge sentiment and capture the excitement surrounding this historic event.

Expressing her joy and delight, Thingreiphy Lungharwoshi, Tangkhul Shanao Long (TSL) President said, ‘Avakharar’s homecoming is long awaited with love and reverence by our community. We’re welcoming AvaKharar with love, traditional rituals, and his favorite dishes, to show our heartfelt gratitude.’

Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long,President Ringphapam Kasar described Muivah as a ‘living testimony of courage, conviction, and sacrifice.’ He urged the Tangkhul people to unite and participate in the grand home coming, setting aside differences to show love and gratitude.

As his homecoming approaches, preparations are in full swing, with roads being cleaned, welcome banners unfurled, and traditional rituals and performances readied. Thousands are expected to attend, making it a unifying moment among the Tangkhuls.

Tangkhul Naga Long President Sword Vashum also expressed his joy and gratitude, saying, “We’re eagerly preparing for Ato Kilonser’s return, praying for his safe arrival and we wish that he comes home filled with peace and joy.

Tangkhul Naga Awungashi Long President Kashung Tennyson also shared his excitement at the homecoming. “We’re overjoyed at Ato Kilonser’s homecoming. We’ve been praying for his safe return and a successful visit, and we eagerly look forward to paying our respects and gratitude.”

As the countdown to Th. Muivah’s homecoming begins, the community is filled with palpable anticipation and curiosity. The wait is akin to awaiting Christmas, a time of immense joy, celebration, and jubilation.
