EKHON |UKHRUL: AC Rinsing, a young talented Tangkhul filmmaker from Ringui Village in Ukhrul District, alongside award-winning filmmaker Sunzu Bachaspatimayum is representing Manipur at the Busan International Film Festival 2024 in South Korea.
AC Rinsing’s debut film, Samkhok, is a period drama that delves into the rich culture and traditions of the Tangkhul Nagas before Christianity’s influence. Inspired by true events, Samkhok sets a new standard for the Tangkhul film industry with its authenticity.
The Busan International Film Festival, running from October 2 to 11, 2024, is a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work. AC Rinsing’s participation is a significant milestone, putting Manipur and Tangkhul cinema on the global map.
