EKHON | May 9, 2025: EAST, Easternlight Zimik’s homegrown brand, is set to make its presence at the 5th Shirui Lily Festival with a unique textile weaving event. Alongside the festival, EAST is opening doors to aspiring models in Manipur. India’s top modelling agencies, Wildflower Artist Management (Delhi) and INEGA (Mumbai), will be scouting local talent on May 20, 2025, as part of the Textile Show and Exhibition.
The casting of aspiring models and local talents will be hosted by EAST on the 20th of May 2025. According to Easternlight Zimik, the goal of inviting INEGA and Wildflowers is to provide a platform for young talents of the state and give opportunity to work with top modelling agencies in the country.
The special Textile event set on 22nd May in Shirui is an attempt to highlight the skills and potentials of the local indigenous textiles and explore means and ways to promote rich cultural heritage of the Tangkhul Naga community. It also aimed at promoting local tourism through textiles, arts, and crafts, informed the well-recognized Tangkhul designer.
The creative designer is hopeful that the Textile Weaving & Textile Show will help protect and preserve traditional skills and practices and further boosts design and creativity. The 5th State Level Shirui Lily Festival 2025 aims to promote Manipur’s rich cultural heritage, boost local skills, and explore export potential.
The casting call for aspiring models and other talents are open for both the genders. The selected models will be groomed by the agencies and will get the opportunity to work with them.
