Friendly Basketball Match: 35 AR and St Joseph College Ukhrul

EKHON | UKHRUL: A friendly basketball match was organised between the students of St Joseph College, Ukhrul and 35 Assam Rifles in St Joseph College campus today.

Fr. Dr Parvis John, the principal delivered a welcome note before the match wishing the best to both teams. He further said that this match is just the beginning of many more events to come in the coming days.

Colonel Shinde, the captain of the Assam Rifles team and the rest of his team members displayed great team dynamics and led the points in the first half. In the second half the college team caught up to the Assam Rifles team and won the match with a slim margin 44-36.

Amidst the cheering of the students, both teams performed exceedingly well showing great enthusiasm and team spirit.

At the end of the match, Colonel Shinde, in his speech, added that competitive spirit and motivation led to the students’ victory. He lauded the team spirit of the students and rewarded the students with sports kits.
