Ekhon | Ukhrul |12 August 2023: The Tangkhul student’s apex body Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) is all set to host the 30th Naga Students’ Federation General Conference from the 24th till 26th of August, 2023 in Ukhrul headquarters. It marked the return of the General Conference “to the land of the Tangkhuls” after a gap of 30 years.
Based on the theme “Solidarity beyond Borders,” the general conference will see participations by students from all Units and other sub-ordinate bodies from the States of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland,
Manipur and eastern Naga areas in Myanmar.
In the press meet held at the TKS office in Hamleikhong, Ukhrul town, Worthing Horam, Convenor, Local Organising Committee extended invitation to all federating units of NSF and well-wishers to join in the celebration of unity of the Nagas and Solidarity beyond Borders.

An exigency has arisen necessitating the TKS to host the 30th NSF General Conference this year as the planned event in Ukhrul in the year 2021 was called off due to Covid-19 pandemic,” it added.
The long awaited General Conference is expecting over 1200 delegates aside from the local delegation.
The highlights of the three-day General Conference are unveiling of monolith, Assembly, NSF general election, Host nite among others.
While hectic preparation is being done to accord humble hospitality to all the visiting dignitaries and delegates, it appealed “to all sections of communities for unflinching support and Cooperation towards the success of the historic general conference.”
Also taking into account the prevailing unrest in the State, the Committee expressed their concern and prayers for normalcy to return between the conflicting Communities, as early as possible.
In organising the 30th NSF General Conference in Ukhrul headquarters, it hoped to spread “the spirit of love, peace and harmony across the land of the Nagas and across the globe.
